How to Connect Zoom from Your ManyMeet Account
ManyMeet needs access to your Zoom account to observe your meetings and generate analytics.
There are two ways to connect:
- Direct Connection — one click, recommended for most users
- Private Zoom App — for organizations that need full control
Option 1: Direct Connection (Recommended)
This is the fastest way to get started. You authorize ManyMeet to access your Zoom account through Zoom's standard authorization flow.
How it works
- Log in to your ManyMeet account.
- Go to your Host settings.
- Click Connect Zoom.
- Zoom will ask you to authorize ManyMeet. Review the permissions and click Allow.
- You are redirected back to ManyMeet. Done.
ManyMeet requests only the permissions it needs:
- create and read meetings
- read meeting registrants
- register contacts in Zoom
- read your user profile (to verify the connection)
You can disconnect at any time from your Host settings. This immediately revokes ManyMeet's access.
Important note
The direct connection uses ManyMeet's Zoom Marketplace app. While this is the simplest option, it may not be available for all Zoom accounts yet as the Marketplace approval process is ongoing.
If the direct connection does not work for your account, use the private Zoom app method below — or reach out for help.
Option 2: Private Zoom App
This method gives you full control. You create your own Zoom app and provide ManyMeet with the credentials. This works for any Zoom account, regardless of Marketplace restrictions.
Step 1: Create a Server-to-Server OAuth app
- Go to the Zoom App Marketplace and sign in with your Zoom admin account.
- Click Develop → Build App.
- Select Server-to-Server OAuth.
- Give it a name (e.g. "ManyMeet") and click Create.
Step 2: Copy your credentials
On the app's App Credentials page, you will see three values:
- Account ID
- Client ID
- Client Secret (click to reveal)
Keep these ready — you will paste them into ManyMeet in the last step.
Step 3: Add the required permissions (Scopes)
Navigate to the Scopes tab. Search for and add the following scopes:
meeting:write:meeting— Create a meetingmeeting:read:meeting— Read meeting detailsmeeting:read:list_meetings— List meetingsmeeting:read:registrant— List meeting registrantsmeeting:write:registrant— Register contacts in a meetingmeeting:delete:meeting— Delete a meetinguser:read:user— Read user profile
Step 4: Activate the app
Navigate to the Activation tab and click Activate your app.
Step 5: Add credentials to ManyMeet
- Log in to your ManyMeet account.
- Go to your Host settings.
- Scroll to Manual Zoom Setup.
- Paste the three credentials: Account ID, Client ID, and Client Secret.
- Click Save.
ManyMeet will use these credentials to access your Zoom account directly. No browser authorization is needed — the connection works server-to-server.
